Matt Sullivan

Outside Operations

Matt is a veteran of the golf business, having been affiliated with the Pittsburgh Field Club since 1992, when he started out as a caddie and wound up as the caddie master/golf service manager. A local guy, Matt is a 1989 graduate of Steel Valley School in Munhall. He then went on to graduate from Carnegie Mellon University in 1993 with a B.A. in Professional Writing. He also played on the men's golf team there, with the opportunity to travel the right side of the country a little, playing competitive golf at many beautiful locations in all kinds of conditions, ranging from bone-chilling snow and wind in Boston to skin-frying sunshine and heat in Atlanta.

At the beginning of the millennium, Matt interrupted his time at the Field Club for a couple years by writing for a local newspaper, where he covered every kind of story imaginable, good and bad. In short, he's seen it all and is not easily shocked!

Matt is a deacon at First Reformed Presbyterian Church, where his wife Jill, to whom he's been married since 2006, is an administrative assistant. His two sons Markus and Joel attend Trinity Christian School, and Matt is also the head coach of the middle school boys' basketball team there.
